Kamol transfigures the human portrait into a medium of intense expression. Specifically selecting villagers and carefully composing a set of questions. He internalizes his painstaking interviews with them before engaging his canvas with intrinsic fervence.
Jirapat is a notable rising star in the Asian art scene. He addresses urban Thai culture, engulfed by western materialism, with wit and humour which subtly emits a hint of cynicism. His works, often satirical, reflect tensions found in the 'east meets west' genre."
